Writing
Personal essays, reflections, observations and stories in Lilly’s own voice.
Writer. Editor. Artist. Teacher. Creative collaborator.
Lilly brings a different cadence to Saint John Studio: observant, thoughtful, practical and deeply human. The Lilly Pad is the room where those qualities can grow into essays, stories, notes, reflections and—eventually—a living body of work in her own voice.
Some creative acts arrive as paintings, books or systems. Others arrive as a sentence, a question, a remembered detail, or the ability to notice what is happening in an ordinary moment before it disappears.
That is why The Lilly Pad belongs inside Saint John Studio. It gives reflection the same respect as making. It creates room for words, memory, family, observation and the small pieces of life that become meaningful when someone chooses to pay attention.
The studio philosophy behind Learning to See runs through this room as well: seeing is not merely looking. It is noticing, interpreting, connecting and deciding that something is worth preserving.
Personal essays, reflections, observations and stories in Lilly’s own voice.
A place for language, clarity, questions and collaborative thinking.
Family, creativity, memory and the moments that become important because somebody noticed them.
